Date:02-Feb-2024

Location:Satyam, Poothurai

Sri Aurobindo Rural & Village Action & Movement (SARVAM), the Sri Aurobindo Society’s integral rural development project, has conducted educational and womens empowerment initiatives in and around the Poothurai villages for the past 19 years. It has expanded its reach from one village to 60 villages and over 1,000,000 people. SARVAM celebrated its annual day on February 2, 2024, at the Satyam Centre at Poothurai village, Villupuram District, near Puducherry.

SARVAM is entering its twentieth year with the Mother’s Grace. The lighting of the lamp followed the brief meditation. As a sign of gratitude, the participants offered flowers at the feet of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother.

More than 600 participants participated in the celebration, including senior officials, coordinators, volunteers, staff, and teachers who expressed their wish to collaborate more with SARVAM. The participants desire to do more indicated a strong motivation and commitment to contribute to the cause of the celebration. It suggests that they are passionate about making a positive impact and want to actively enhance the celebration or implement initiatives that align with the events goals. This desire can fuel collaboration and teamwork, leading to increased effectiveness and the scope of the celebrations impact.

In addition, there was an opportunity to look forward to the future and all its challenges and prospects. Embracing the future with optimism is crucial, as it allows individuals to stay motivated and hopeful, even in challenging times. By remaining optimistic, individuals can inspire those around them and foster a sense of positivity and resilience within their communities.

The celebration ended with gratitude to the Divine Mother.
