Women Skill Empowerment – Soft Skills Training

Date: 10-Sep-2026

Location: Satyam Community Centre

SARVAM conducted a Women Skill Empowerment – Soft Skills Training programme for 60 women from 15 villages, organised in two batches at the Satyam Community Centre. The programme was thoughtfully designed to strengthen participants’ confidence, communication abilities, interpersonal skills, and overall readiness to pursue livelihood and community-level opportunities with greater purpose and self-assurance.

The training focused on developing essential soft skills that support women in both their personal and professional lives. Through a series of interactive sessions, group activities, discussions, and practical exercises, participants were encouraged to identify their inherent strengths, overcome hesitation, and build a stronger sense of self-confidence. The learning environment was warm, inclusive, and deeply encouraging — allowing each woman to grow at her own pace.

The training methodology was highly participatory throughout, with women actively engaging in group discussions, role plays, team activities, and experience-sharing sessions. This collaborative approach created a supportive space where participants felt comfortable expressing their views, learning from one another, and challenging themselves to step beyond their comfort zones.

Across the two batches, all 60 participants benefited significantly from the programme. The sessions helped them improve their communication, interpersonal skills, and collaborative abilities, while also motivating them to take greater ownership of their personal and economic development. The training served as a meaningful step towards holistic women’s empowerment, equipping rural women with practical skills, a positive mindset, and the confidence to make informed decisions and embrace future opportunities.

Through this initiative, SARVAM continues to strengthen the foundation for sustainable livelihoods, greater community participation, and more resilient rural communities — one empowered woman at a time.
