The volunteers of the project villages gathered to discuss and plan for the 150th birthday celebrations of Sri Aurobindo and the 76th Independence Day.
Volunteers listened to patriotic stories that emphasized the importance of patriotism and national pride. They were motivated to pass on the same to their villages. Volunteers heard about the sacrifices made by our great leaders for our nation. They were also encouraged to participate in national activities.
Volunteers discussed the events to be organized to commemorate the 76th Independence Day of India with community members. Also, a painting activity of the national flag made them feel proud of our nation.
Several activities were finalized for Independence Day, including drama, painting, fancy dress, Rangoli, and a storytelling activity within the community. They have planned that there will be prizes for the best three participants in each category.
The activities will focus on four categories of vulnerable communities: children, women, youth, and the aged. The volunteers will provide support and assistance in various ways, from helping to organize and run events to providing necessities to those in need. They will also raise awareness about the importance of independence and the power of solidarity.
Patriotic songs were played at the end of the programme. They stepped out vigorously to conduct the activities for Independence Day in their respective villages. The enthusiasm with which they moved forward instilled a sense of patriotism in the hearts of all.
