Celebrating the Spirit of Women Volunteers

On 4 March 2026, an International Women’s Day celebration was organised by SARVAM at the Satyam Community Centre to honour and appreciate the valuable contributions of women volunteers. The programme brought together nearly one hundred women volunteers from ten villages, creating a vibrant and supportive space where they could interact, celebrate, and enjoy a day dedicated to recognising their commitment to community service.

The event featured a variety of engaging activities and competitions designed to encourage creativity, teamwork, and joyful participation. Participants enthusiastically took part in small fun games, a kolam competition, flower decoration activities, role play, and several group games. These activities not only provided entertainment but also allowed the women to showcase their talents and creativity while strengthening their connections with volunteers from other villages. The atmosphere throughout the programme was lively and energetic, filled with laughter, excitement, and a strong sense of camaraderie among the participants.

Beyond the competitions, the celebration served as an opportunity to recognise the dedication and collective efforts of the volunteers who actively contribute to community development. The event created a meaningful platform for women to relax, interact, and celebrate their shared achievements. At the conclusion of the programme, the winning groups were presented with small gifts as a token of appreciation. All participants expressed their happiness and gratitude to SARVAM for organising such a thoughtful and engaging celebration. The event successfully honoured the efforts of women volunteers while reinforcing their sense of belonging and motivation to continue their valuable work within their communities.
