SARVAM in association with LTFS, Mumbai has been implementing the Digital Sakhi project in many villages of Villupuram District, Tamil Nadu. The main objective of this project is to create awareness amongst the villagers on digital financial literacy and cashless transactions. It has been 8 months since the inception of this project and this project has witnessed a drastic change in the digital and cashless transactions that are made by the villagers. The village coordinators have helped a lot to make this happen.
In continuation of the various training provided to the Digital Sakhis and Women Entrepreneurs, SARVAM with the support of LTFS organized training to more than 100 women at Sharanam campus on the Recent Trends on Online Transactions. Two trainers from Chennai (M2P Payment Solutions Pvt. Ltd) trained the participants on ways and methods of carrying out online transactions through various methods. The most interesting part of the training was helping the women to find solutions to the problems that arise while performing cashless transactions.
The trainer focused on various issues that may occur while doing digital transactions. They also taught the women about solving these issues without being panicked. They further added that cashless transactions are very common today and there are chances for problems to occur. If one loses his/her calm, the situation may not come under control. Instead, if they remain calm and think for a while it is easy to find a solution. Practical sessions were conducted for a better understanding of digital sakhis and women entrepreneurs. The question hour was overwhelmed with interactive questions and answers proving the success of this training workshop.
