More than 50 women from the community participated in this initiative aimed at promoting heart health and preventive care.

The session was facilitated by an experienced Cath Lab professional who explained in a simple and engaging manner the vital functions of the heart, the common symptoms of heart disease, and the critical importance of recognising the “golden hours” during medical emergencies. Participants were also educated on heart-friendly foods and the role of regular physical activity, such as walking and exercise, in maintaining long-term cardiovascular health.

This hands-on approach ensured that the women not only understood the “why” but also the “how” of caring for their hearts.

The event concluded with all participants taking a Heart Safety Oath, pledging to safeguard their own health while also spreading awareness among their families and communities. The women expressed their appreciation for the valuable knowledge shared and committed to applying the practices in their daily lives, thereby extending the impact of the programme beyond the session.
