SARVAM organised a Women’s Health and Nutrition Awareness Programme on 18 June 2026 at the Satyam Community Centre, bringing together 100 women from 15 villages. The programme was designed to enhance awareness of women’s health, nutrition, and preventive healthcare practices, while equipping participants with practical knowledge to make informed decisions about their well-being.
To ensure effective participation and personalised learning, the programme was conducted in three batches by a team of experienced trainers. The sessions combined presentations, group discussions, practical guidance, and interactive question-and-answer segments, creating a participatory learning environment that encouraged women to openly discuss their health concerns and seek clarifications.
The programme covered a range of important topics, including the significance of balanced nutrition for women at different stages of life, essential vitamins and minerals, healthy dietary practices, prevention and management of common health issues, personal hygiene, and healthy lifestyle habits. Special emphasis was placed on preventive healthcare and the importance of regular health check-ups for the early identification and management of health concerns.
A dedicated session on menopause and related health issues was conducted by a medical professional. The session addressed the physical, emotional, and hormonal changes associated with menopause, while offering practical strategies for managing symptoms and maintaining overall well-being. Participants actively engaged in the discussion, raising questions and sharing their experiences. The session helped dispel common misconceptions, increased awareness about menopause, and encouraged women to adopt appropriate self-care practices during this important phase of life.
The programme received an overwhelmingly positive response from the participants, who appreciated the practical and informative nature of the sessions. Many women expressed that they had gained valuable insights into maintaining good health and nutrition and felt more confident in addressing their health-related concerns.
As an outcome, the programme significantly enhanced awareness of women’s health, nutrition, and menopause-related issues among the participants. The women expressed high levels of satisfaction and requested that similar awareness programmes be conducted regularly to continue supporting their health, well-being, and empowerment.
