On February 20, 2025, SARVAM, Puducherry, organised a cultural competition in drama and singing at Satyam Community Centre, uniting 100 participants from 15 villages. This event provided a platform for rural women to express themselves through performing arts, fostering creativity, confidence, and moral storytelling.
Each village presented thoughtfully crafted dramas based on moral themes, drawing from real-life experiences and ethical lessons. The singing competition saw soul-stirring performances, where participants showcased their vocal skills through traditional and contemporary songs.
After a careful selection process, four exceptional drama performances and five outstanding singing performances were awarded prizes. The event was not just about competition but also about celebrating talent, cultural heritage, and artistic expression.
Participants expressed joy and gratitude, sharing how the event provided a much-needed break from daily routines and left them rejuvenated and empowered. Through this initiative, SARVAM reaffirmed its commitment to fostering cultural engagement and uplifting rural communities.
