On June 4, 2019, Honourable Governor of Tamil Nadu Thiru Banwarilal Purohit inaugurated the ‘Digital Sakhi’ programme of L&T Financial Services being implemented by SARVAM.

On May 17, 2019, SARVAM won the ‘Audience Choice Award’ at the fourth Annual Charity Awards, organized by Indian diaspora newspaper Asian Voice, at London, UK.

In May 2019, SARVAM’s 11th Annual Summer Camp was organized for over 300 students in the age group of 9 to 15 years.

On April 11 & 12, 2019, SARVAM coordinator attended a two-day India Roundtable organized by Shanti Ashram, Coimbatore, on the topic ‘Nurturing Values and Spirituality in Early Childhood for the Prevention of Violence’.

On April 22 and 24, 2019, the English Access Micro Scholarship Program students celebrated the International Earth Day and Zero Shadow Day.

From April 30 to May 3, 2019, the US Embassy, New Delhi, partnered American Councils for International Education to conduct a regional workshop for the alumni of the English Access Micro Scholarship entitled ‘Journeys to Success – Access Alumni Stories’.

On March 26, 2019, the Director of State Institute of Rural Development visited SATYAM Centre. A General Health Camp for Women was conducted on March 30, 2019. More than 100 women were screened, counselled and treated for diabetes, blood pressure, anaemia and other common ailments.

On March 9 and 10, 2019, two programmes were organized at SARVAM to celebrate the International Women Day – one in which the students of the English Access MicroScholarship Program participated and the other involving women leaders and volunteers of the villages.

On February 23, 2019, SARVAM hosted a traditional games meet in association with JCI Club to commemorate International Women’s Day, which laid emphasis on bringing joy, dignity and compassion for the vulnerable and marginalized rural women.

SARVAM organized a Digital and Financial Literacy Programme for 15 members of the core team from the project villages on February 22–24, 2019.

SARVAM organized a Digital and Financial Literacy Programme for more than 400 women from Poothurai and Perambai project villages on February 3, 2019.

SARVAM celebrated its Foundation Day on February 2, 2019, and commemorated the 14 years of its integral rural development initiatives.

SARVAM conducted an orientation session for students and faculty of Madras School of Social Work on January 22, 2019.

On January 19, 2019, SARVAM organized a trip to Mahabalipuram for the English Access Microscholarship students.

On January 19, 2019, a training workshop on learning disabilities was conducted for teachers, parents and volunteers at SARVAM by Azim Premji Foundation.

SARVAM conducted the Second Mid-Term Intensive Session for the English Access students for 4 days from December 27–30, 2018.

SARVAM conducted an awareness and community service programme for the English Access Scholarship students on December 8, 2018, at Fraternal Life Service Home.

Sri Aurobindo Rural & Village Action & Movement (SARVAM), an initiative of Sri Aurobindo Society, organized a tour for 70 community women in the villages, to the ancient cities of Thanjavur.

On December 1 and 2, 2018, the U.S. Consulate General, Chennai, in partnership with NalandaWay Foundation, hosted a two-day “South India Youth Speak Summit” at the Madras Management Association Center in which 11 Access Alumni students from SARVAM participated.

On November 25, 2018, the students of the English Access MicroScholarship Program at SARVAM participated in the ‘International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women’ Awareness Program.
