Building Bonds Fostering Healthy RARS_19-07-2025On 19 July 2025, SARVAM conducted a meaningful and engaging relationship-building programme for over 300 students across 10 villages. Recognising the growing need for strong interpersonal skills in today’s rapidly changing world, the programme focused on nurturing values such as empathy, mutual respect, effective communication, and conflict resolution among young learners.

Designed to resonate with students’ daily experiences in their homes, schools, and communities, the sessions offered a safe and inclusive space for sharing and learning. A variety of interactive techniques were employed to maximise student involvement—these included storytelling, songs, role-plays, and play-based group activities. Each method was chosen to make the learning process creative, engaging, and relatable.

The environment encouraged honest dialogue, and facilitators reported a high level of openness and engagement. Volunteers and teachers who attended the sessions appreciated the relevance of the content and the innovative approach used.

This initiative underlined SARVAM’s ongoing commitment to the holistic development of children in rural areas. By cultivating emotional intelligence and social responsibility at a young age, the programme aims to empower students to lead harmonious and balanced lives, contributing positively to their communities. Given its success and impact, SARVAM plans to continue organising similar programmes in the future.
