To improve their tailoring skills using the new advanced stitching machine, 40 female tailoring entrepreneurs received second-level advanced training.
Around 300+ women received skill training from SARVAM on tailoring, and 200+ started their businesses. SARVAM also provided them with free sewing machines and other necessary equipment. They also provided them with advice and mentorship to help them succeed in their businesses. SARVAM’s programme has helped many women to build successful businesses.
As a next step, 40 tailoring women entrepreneurs received state-of-the-art training with new advanced machines. They received access to a digital platform to access resources such as technical assistance, business advice, and market information. This access helped them improve their productivity and get better access to markets.
The women got connected to a network of similar entrepreneurs, helping them share resources and learn from the experiences of others. The entrepreneurs were also able to gain access to finance, allowing them to invest in their businesses.
As part of the training, the trainer showed the participants some new stitches, how easy they can be done, and how they can save time. He then proceeded to demonstrate how to apply them to various fabrics. He also provided samples for the women to practice on. Finally, he gave them tips on troubleshooting any issues that may arise. He answered many questions that the women had and encouraged them to practice the skills they had learned. He ended the session by providing them with additional resources and advice on what to do next.
After stitching on the new machine, all the women left with many plans for improving their business and a sense of confidence to proceed.
