Christmas is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, observed primarily on December 25th as a religious and cultural celebration among billions of people worldwide.
While many celebrate the holiday to honour Jesus’s birth, it has also become a worldwide cultural holiday and is often celebrated by non-Christians.
SARVAM conducted a variety of programmes on December 24th 2022. Around 300 children from the 12 project villages participated and enjoyed themselves thoroughly.
Students were able to gain a better understanding of Christmas. Christmas carols were taught to the children. They all enjoyed singing the songs. The Auro Sakhis also gave a talk on Christmas.
The students performed various performances at the Christmas Celebration. Cultural programmes started with prayers to the Almighty. It was a real treat for the children to watch performances such as skits, songs, paper crafts, speeches, and games.
A question and answer session was also to help the students understand Christmas in more detail. The festive mood drowned everyone in happiness, and the Christmas celebration was a huge success. After snacking and eating sweets, students returned home happily.
