Educational and Cultural Exposure Visit for Rural Students

Date: 23-Feb-2025

Location: Cuddalore & Pondicherry

On February 23, 2025, SARVAM, Puducherry, organised an educational and recreational exposure visit for 500 students from 13 villages, offering them a unique blend of learning and fun. The trip included visits to Cuddalore Hayagriva Temple, Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Bharathi Park, and the beach, exposing the children to spiritual, cultural, and natural environments beyond their daily lives.

At Hayagriva Temple, students learned about architectural heritage and spiritual traditions, observing rituals and understanding the temple’s historical significance. At Sri Aurobindo Ashram, they experienced a peaceful, meditative atmosphere, gaining insights into the philosophy of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother.

The recreational aspect of the trip was equally engaging. Students played at the beach, enjoyed the sea breeze, and participated in games at Bharathi Park, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. To make the journey enjoyable, onboard activities like storytelling, singing, and quizzes kept the children entertained, encouraging creativity and active participation.

This initiative by SARVAM provided rural students with a valuable learning experience, expanding their horizons and instilling curiosity, joy, and a sense of community. The event was well received by both students and parents, highlighting the importance of experiential learning in shaping young minds.
