Date: October 01-06 ,2024
Location: 14 villages
From 1st to 6th October 2024, SARVAM successfully conducted a five-day quarterly camp, engaging 450 students from 15 different villages. This initiative, aimed at providing a holistic learning experience during their school holidays, was held in a relaxed and stress-free environment. The camp focused on a range of activities that addressed both personal and social development, enriching the students’ holidays with constructive and enjoyable pursuits.
The curriculum was thoughtfully designed to cover various key areas: ethics, soft skills, handwork, singing, and games. The ethics sessions served as a cornerstone for instilling strong moral values and a sense of responsibility in the participants. Complementing these were the soft skills workshops, which focused on vital aspects like communication, teamwork, and leadership — all of which are essential in preparing the students for future challenges, both in personal and professional realms.
The handwork sessions offered students an outlet for creativity and innovation. These activities encouraged the development of practical skills and problem-solving abilities, allowing the students to express their artistic talents. In addition to handwork, singing and other artistic activities were included to nurture self-expression and build confidence in a joyful, supportive setting.
Physical activities and games played a crucial role in ensuring that the students stayed active and learned valuable lessons in teamwork and leadership. These games not only promoted physical health but also reinforced the importance of collaboration and fair play.
Overall, the camp achieved remarkable success in balancing learning with play. The students were highly engaged and eager to participate in the various activities, which allowed them to absorb knowledge and skills without the typical pressures associated with academic life. The camp not only provided an avenue for personal growth but also fostered social interaction, leaving a lasting impact on the students’ development.
This initiative by SARVAM has proven to be an effective model for student development, blending education, creativity, and physical activity in a nurturing environment, and ensuring that learning continues in a fulfilling and stress-free manner during their holidays.
