Empowering Women Through Education and Collective Engagement

Date: 03-Oct-2024

Location: 5 villages

On October 3, 2024, SARVAM organised a comprehensive women’s empowerment programme, benefiting around 200 women from five villages in Puducherry. This initiative aimed to foster self-respect, boost confidence, and enhance awareness about women’s rights and capabilities, encouraging them to play a more active role in their personal and social development.

The programme utilised interactive games and activities to convey critical lessons on empowerment and self-respect, ensuring that the learning experience was both engaging and practical. Through these hands-on activities, women were able to connect theoretical ideas to their everyday lives, making the knowledge more applicable and impactful. Additionally, these group activities fostered a sense of solidarity and collective strength among the participants.

The response to the programme was overwhelmingly positive, with many women reporting a renewed sense of confidence and a deeper understanding of their personal value. The initiative successfully provided these women with the tools to face challenges more confidently and advocate for themselves in both their families and communities.
